This is Linn, she is a wonderful sweet and kind 23 yr old mare, Her owner starved her down to this condition, and then put her in a stall at the fairgrounds with no food or water. Dawn found her and had her signed over to the Humane Society. She is here at Project Spirit for re-hab and tons of love. After lots of scrubbing to remove the manure that covered her back end, we found a palomino under all of that nasty stuff.

Such a sweet and kind mare, this does not make sense at all.

We named her Linn in honour of a friend in England who died in his sleep the day she was rescued.  I know he would have liked that.

UPDATE….Linn is recovering well, putting on weight but is still very depressed, she needs her own person to heal her soul.
