Wee Charlie Brown

May 17th, 2008

Little Charlie was quietly euthanized due to his hepatitis symptoms on Friday June 20th, along with his stable friend Big Charlie. (26 yrs old and long term Cushings) They shared many good years, and we will miss them forever.

This is our favorite sweet love on the ranch. We have had the pleasure of his company for about 4 yrs now, he came as a owner release and we took him just because he is so darned cute!! Something to make you smile. He started showing signs of ill health shortly after the summer ended, and after extensive testing, he was found to have a form of hepatitis, the kind that kills the liver.   He came from an area where Tansy Ragwort grows in abundance and this was probably the cause. It just started taking him down.

We treat him with a liquid herbal mixture called Restore, that we have shipped in from Global Herbs in England, and he is maintaining beautifully. 3cc’s twice a day and he is living life to the fullest and continues to run this place like a real champ.

 Thank you Global Herbs.

This is Little Charlie assisting Karen as she trims the hooves on Lucy, another little darling who now lives with my friend Gin, and thinks she is the Queen of the barn. (She is.)

Charlie is greatly missed.
